DWTS Update: Evan’s War on Ice and More

Off the dance floor, Evan Lysacek is apparently at war with another skater… my money’s on Evan. Let’s see what else the DWTS  stars are getting themselves into this week!

There has been some bad blood between Evan and fellow figure skater Johnny Wier for some time now, but this week Johnny declared war, People reports, adding that his “claws are out.”

The feud is really kinda silly, but involves Evan saying the skating world was annoyed with Weir’s “whining” reaction when he wasn’t chosen for the Smucker’s Stars on Ice Tour (on which Lysacek is simultaneously performing while being on DWTS), and that Weir wasn’t chosen because he’s not among the “best of the best.”

Then this week, Weir went on the Wendy Williams show and called Lysacek a “slore,” which apparently a crafty combo of “slut” and “whore.” He then added that he “has no respect for Evan Lysacek” and wants people not to vote for him. Evan has publicly said he feels ashamed for having said what he did about Weir and that Weir is a “talented skater.”

So maybe the two will make up. I’m at least hoping for some kind of Zoolander-esque skate-off first.

Who did Judge Bruno Tonioli pick as his favorite? Pam!

He told Entertainment Tonight’s Samantha Harris: “Pamela is probably the best performer on the show … The truth of the matter is that her performances are so focused, she’s so honest, it’s brilliant. She acts the part … dance is not just a series of steps, it’s a performing art … She’s quite good.”

Bruno then goes on to say, however, that at this point, no one’s safe — viewers need to still put in their votes for their favorites.

This week the show actually beat rival American Idol in the ratings as well, which has been attributed to this season’s diversely entertaining stars. Who has been your favorite? Who were you happy to see go home — or who is left that you can’t wait to see leave?
