Every year since their initial ceremony, Heidi Klum and [lastfm]Seal [/lastfm]renew their vows in front of their children, family and friends. Get the scoop on the romantic shindig here!
The couple always throw a big themed party to go with it — last year was retro, and this year was, well, wedding-themed! According to People, the sentiment was, “Five Years: Peice of Cake!”
The couple flew guests down to a swanky Mexican beach town, and entertained them Friday night with dinner and a Karaoke party. For the ceremony, they had guests dress in black and white as brides and grooms, and had wedding basics such as a five-level tiered cake.
Seal describes the tradition as a special time for their family: “It’s about remembering this moment of love we gave to each other and reinforcing it,” the singer says. He and Klum are parents to Leni, 6, Henry, 4, Johan, 3, and baby Lou, 7 months.
Klum says about the celebration: “It’s so special to us, something we love and something our children have gotten accustomed to. It’s like, ‘Hey, Mom and Dad love each other and they get married every year!’ ”
Added Seal: “Each year, Heidi and I get remarried. It’s a great party, but for about an hour, we go off on our own down to a private beach. We sit there with the kids and read vows to each other as the sun sets. It’s a very special moment to us.”
Ah, to be rich, talented, famous and in love.
