Papa John’s Pizza Houston is introducing the frighteningly appetizing Pumpkin-Shaped Pizza exclusively in the Bayou City and just in time for Halloween.
[pullquote quote=”Halloween is about putting on your best disguise and having a great time with family and friends. We’re taking our well-known, award-winning pizza and dressing it up, too. This is a great way to celebrate one of the most favorite foods on one of the most beloved holidays in America.” credit=”Keith Sullins, president of Papa John’s Houston. “]Known best for candy and costumes, Halloween is also the busiest pizza day of the year in America, a fact not missed by Houston-area Papa John’s as they decide to add to the seasonal fun by creating the Pumpkin-Shaped Pizza, available for a limited time, today – Sunday, October 31.
The Pumpkin-Shaped Pizza is shaped like a pumpkin complete with stem, bordered by a ring of pepperonis. The classic pumpkin grin is captured with more pepperonis and the eyes are finished off with two olives.
The Pumpkin-Shaped Pizza was the idea of Keith Sullins, president of Papa John’s Houston, as he thought of fun ways to join Houstonians in the spirit of spookiness.
Houstonians can order the large, thin crust Pumpkin-Shaped Pizza, complete with extra cheese and pepperoni, from Houston-area Papa John’s for $12, excluding taxes and delivery charge.
“We understand that most people want to be out and about enjoying Halloween instead of thinking about what to eat,” said Keith Sullins. “We make close to 10,000 pizzas in Houston on Halloween alone, and we’re certainly excited about debuting the Pumpkin-Shaped Pizza to some hungry Houstonians looking for fun during this holiday.”
