The end has come for Kathy Griffin.
The end of her doing her reality show “My Life on the D-List“. Not that Griffin is leaving Bravo. In fact, the network has enlisted her for four brand-new comedy specials that will air this year. In addition to the stand-up specials, Griffin hopes to make a return to sitcoms in the future with an improvised series – think “Curb Your Enthusiasm” – that involves, according to the comedian, “some characters from the D-List that you’ve come to love, and then maybe I’ll have actors play a couple other characters that are from my real life.” And Griffin has her sights on nabbing her first-ever Grammy Award at Feb. 13’s ceremony. “First of all, I just want to win,” she says of her best comedy album nod. “I have no deep answer for that. I just want to. Second of all, only two women [comedians] have won in the history of the Grammys: Lily Tomlin and Whoopi Goldberg. So I certainly would like it to go to a woman this year. A woman named Kathy Griffin. Perhaps you’ve heard of her?”
Even when the cameras are off, the drama continues on “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.” Word is Camille Grammer won’t be returning for a second season. Her rep tells PEOPLE she’s still considering her options. “She has not made any decision yet about whether she’s returning to the show or not,” rep Howard Bragman says. “She taped a very explosive reunion episode yesterday, where people are going to see a different side of her than they’ve seen before.” The future ex-wife of Kelsey Grammer has been a polarizing figure on the show due to her infamous feud with housewife Kyle Richards, who also happens to be Paris Hilton’s aunt. Grammer has also been criticized for her flirty friendship with her married tennis partner Nick Stabile. “Camille’s situation has changed since the show began,” Bragman adds. “She did the show because Kelsey wanted her to do it and now she’s a single mother raising two kids. Her life has changed and she has a lot of new responsibilities. She’s also in the middle of negotiating a divorce settlement, so this is not the time for her to make a decision about the show.”
The “Star” tabloid has either scored the first bombshell story of the year or set itself up for a lawsuit…
That’s the cover of the issue in question. They have not made any excerpts of the article that goes with it available so either it’s totally true, totally fake or so-carefully worded they get to sell a ton of magazines and have enough to settle a lawsuit.
Snooki has been doing the rounds to promote her new book “A Shore Thing” and “Jersey Shore”. Yesterday on the “Ellen DeGeneres Show” she was discussing her drinking habits and said “I want to remember my night and sometimes I just don’t. It sucks. So you’re like,”What did I do? Why did I wake up in a garbage can?” She also admitted that she blacks out about once a month. The new season of “Jersey Shore ” premieres tonight.
If this is true, it’s kinda pathetic but understandable… you know how sometimes folks just starting in a career will pretend to have a secretary or personal assistant or agent to make them seem more important? Well, according to “In Touch” a so-called source says [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Nick Lachey[/lastfm] does that. The source says, “We get calls from Nick Lachey’s ‘assistant’, who sounds very much like Nick himself…Funny how he and this assistant have the same exact voice.”
