You know how everyone has that friend that comes up with crazy stories about how they run into random celebrities all the time? Well, if they worked at Burger King back in 2001 and lived around Ohio, they very well could have served a whopper or a fat greasy bucket of chicken to Michael Jackson, Elizabeth Taylor, and Marlon Brando. Where are the reality cameras when you need them?
Picture Elizabeth Taylor, Michael Jackson and Marlon Brando driving around in a rental car across America! True story and it happened after planes were grounded in the aftermath of September 11, 2001. The trio also stopped at every Kentucky Fried Chicken and Burger King ,because Marlon wanted to eat there.
Vanity Fair reporter Sam Kashner said “Brando allegedly annoyed his travelling companions by insisting on stopping at nearly every KFC and Burger King they passed along the highway.”
“One can only imagine the shock their appearance caused at gas stations and rest stops across America.” I would have been shocked if I saw them in front of me at KFC or buying gas at Chevron.
According to Jackson’s people they travelled a total of 535 miles and got as far as Ohio!
At the time of the trip Marlon Brando was 77, Elizabeth Taylor was 69, and Michael Jackson 43. The trip started when Jackson had invited Marlon and Elizabeth to his concerts on September 7 and September 10 at Madison Square Garden. However, after September 11 all the planes in the U.S were grounded so the trio decided to hit the road to return to the west coast.
Man that would have been an AWESOME reality show!
