Adele’s Album Is Still #1

Not a single new album debuted in the Top 10 on the “Billboard” chart this week, which let [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Adele[/lastfm] hold on to the #1 spot.  And it wasn’t even close:  Her album “21” sold 124,000 copies, while the #2 album, from THE FOO FIGHTERS, sold just 34,000. 

The week’s highest debut came from [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Explosions In The Sky[/lastfm], whose new album “Take Care, Take Care, Take Care” sold 19,000 copies down in 16th place.  Here’s the Top 10 . . .

1.)  “21”, [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Adele[/lastfm]  (124,000 copies)

2.)  “Wasting Light”, [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Foo Fighters[/lastfm]  (34,000 copies)

3.)  “Sigh No More”, [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Mumford & Sons[/lastfm]  (32,000 copies)   

4.)  “Femme Fatale”, [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Britney Spears[/lastfm]  (30,000 copies)

5.)  The soundtrack to the Disney Channel movie Lemonade Mouth  (30,000 copies)  

6.)  “F.A.M.E.”, [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Chris Brown[/lastfm]  (28,000 copies)

7.)  The Glee Presents the Warblers soundtrack  (28,000 copies)

8.)  “Teenage Dream”, [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Katy Perry[/lastfm]  (24,000 copies)

9.)  “Rolling Papers”, [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Wiz Khalifa[/lastfm]  (24,000 copies)

10.)  “So Beautiful Or So What”, [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Paul Simon[/lastfm]  (24,000 copies)
