I for one am SUPER excited to get the new season of Houston Dynamo soccer underway! Dynamo superstar Brian Ching is probably a littttttle more excited than me though, lol.
For their seventh season, the boys in orange will finally get tot play in a stadium that is all their own. The brand new BBVA Compass Stadium (aka the “House that Ching” built) is all set to open up on Saturday May 12, on the east end of downtown.
If you’ve ever been to a Houston Dynamo game, then you already know the energy inside Robertson Stadium is incredible. The fans stand and cheer the whole time, with a sea of orange everywhere you look. And even though the boys have loved playing at Robertson, they are very glad to finally have a “home” they can call their own.
Brian Ching said to the Houston Chronicle, “We’ve had Robertson Stadium, but that wasn’t our stadium. That was something we were leasing from somebody. That’s been the norm since we’ve been in San Jose at Spartan Stadium and coming here to Houston to Robertson Stadium, that’s just been what we’ve been dealing with.”
So get your ORANGE ready to go for this weekend folks, and come out to cheer on our own Houston Dynamo as they take on DC United in our brand new stadium! For their full season schedule click HERE!
