Wait, HOW Many Divorces Involve FACEBOOK These Days?

One THIRD of all divorces in 2011 called it quits due to Facebook and they say the problem is only getting bigger!

A legal organization found the word “Facebook” appeared in one third of all divorce filings, up from 20% three years ago.

So how does social media lead to divorce for some folks?

According to the Examiner, your site can reveal too much information which takes away from the whole getting-to-know-each-other phase of a relationship.

Also, the publicity of a relationship (and how people can comment on status changes! …one of my pet peeves) can put a lot of pressure on a couple!

Then of course, there’s jealousy! Lots of info, easily accessible, mixed with suspicions, can create one nasty green-eyed monster.

So, probably a good idea to talk about that third wheel in your relationship (Facebook!) before you make it status-official.
