According to the American Institute for Economic Research (AIER), new findings suggest that the city of Houston is one great place for college students.
In its 2012-2013 “AIER College Destinations Index” (AIER CDI), Houston ranked number nine in the “Major Metros” category. The four-category ranking system not only included “Major Metros”, but “Mid-Size Metros” was a category and”Small Metros” and “College Towns” were named categories as well.
The ranking system took multiple factors into account with the ranking of various cities in the U.S. for college students. Such factors included: academics, quality of life and professional opportunities.
Other Texas cities that were ranked include: Austin, San Antonio, College Station, The Dallas-Fort Worth area and Killeen.
