Judy Garland’s Dress From ‘Wizard Of Oz’ Set To Be Auctioned

Attention, you ultimate Wizard of Oz fan; you have a chance to own a piece of the movie. The famous gingham dress worn by Judy Garland in the movie is scheduled to be auctioned off.

According to reports and celebrity auctioneer Darren Julien Garland’s original costume from the beloved movie could sell for half a million dollars; it is slated to hit auction block next month.

The dress has been the inspiration for many Halloween costumes and even fashion.With several identical dresses made for the production, the dress set to be auctioned is the only version seen in the film. It is also the only dress that has survived since the release of the movie back in 1939.

The dress is scheduled to be available for view at London’s Stafford Hotel beginning Tuesday and it will be exhibited at Julien’s Auctions in Beverly Hills, California between November 5-9. The dress is scheduled to be auctioned during the November 9 and 10 th auctions.
