Days after Hurricane Sandy ravaged the East Coast and left millions without power, some huge names in music are coming together to sing and perform in an effort to raise money for those affected by the disaster.
The “Hurricane Sandy: Coming Together” concert is slated to air Friday at 8:00 p.m. ET on various networks. The location of the concert had yet to be announced.
Stars scheduled to perform all in the name of helping East Coast residents rebuild their lives include: Sting and Christina Aguilera; Aguilera was born in Staten Island, an area that was hit hard by Hurricane Sandy.
Proceeds from the event will go directly to the American Red Cross. There will be more musical artists announced on Friday.
Aguilera took to her Twitter page to send support for those affected by Hurricane Sandy:
Sending my love and support to everyone on the east coast who’s been affected. Thinking of u all. XoXtina
