There’s speculation that is swirling over singer LeAnn Rimes‘ state of soberness during her duet with Carly Rose Sonenclar on Wednesday’s “X Factor”.
For many, Rimes seemed a little off during her duet of “How Do I Live” duet with 13-year-old “X Factor” finalist Carly Rose Sonenclar.
She later explained that she didn’t want to upstage the young contestant.
Rimes seemed to stagger and struggle through her performance of her 1997 hit, “How Do I Live,” belting out wobbly vocals and hair that seemed to be a bit… unkempt.
In fact, there was buzz about her befuddled state on Twitter:

Rimes, who is not blaming her performance on the “al-al-a-a-al” alchohol, but rather on attempting to assist the young contestant, wanted to show love and support for Sonenclar: “I was trying to help this 13-year-old girl who was having some trouble with the song,” Rimes told TMZ Wednesday.
