The new Steve Jobs biopic starring “Two And a Half Men” sensation Ashton Kutcher is slated to premier at the Sundance Film Festival later this month and is garnering praise from many.
The new film which is titled jOBS will center around life of the late Apple founder and visionary Steve Jobs who died on October 5, 2011. Jobs also co-founded and served as chief executive of Pixar Animation Studios and later became a member of the board of directors of The Walt Disney Company in 2006.
The film is scheduled to premiere at Sundance on January 25, which is a date that is ahead of its release date in U.S. theaters.
The film’s main concentration will be on the life and times of Jobs from 1971 through 2000. Coincidentally, most of the film was shot in the Palo Alto garage where Jobs’ company was initially launched.
iJOBS is one of two movies that will profile Apple founder Steve Jobs; the other biopic about Jobs will be done by Academy Award-winning screenwriter Aaron Sorkin who is known for his work on the movie The Social Network.
