Beyoncé Knowles, Kelly Clarkson To Perform At Obama Inauguration

Superstar singers Beyoncé Knowles and Kelly Clarkson are scheduled to perform at President Barack Obama’s inauguration. Knowles is slated to sing the National Anthem while Clarkson is scheduled to sing “My Country `Tis of Thee”.

Other stars scheduled to sing and perform at the Obama Inauguration include James Taylor who is due to sing “America the Beautiful”. The ceremony will take place on the steps of the Capital.

Poetry will also take center stage as Richard Blanco, the son of Cuban exiles, will be the 2013 inaugural poet. Blanco joins the ranks of the accomplished writers and poets Maya Angelou and Robert Frost who once shared their poetry at past presidential inaugurations.

The Obama Inauguration will take place on Monday, January 21. During this second inauguration for President Obama, the District of Columbia officials expect between 600,000 and 800,000 people.
