Houston Bike SHARE Program Expands

Bicycle riding in Houston just got easier and friendlier, thanks to the city of Houston expanding and adding several bicycle stations.

This week, the city of Houston’s “Bike Share Program” is expanding, with the help of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas’ (BCBSTX) $750,000 commitment, U.S. DOE funding, widespread use of bicycles and growing interest in biking.

“[The] Houston B-cycle will continue to provide healthy and convenient transportation alternatives to residents throughout Downtown, East End, Midtown, Montrose and the Museum District/Hermann Park,” stated officials with the city of Houston.
