Houston Dynamo Defeat Galaxy; First Win In L.A. Since 2007

In an amazing soccer match-up over the weekend, the Houston Dynamo defeated the Los Angeles Galaxy; it was the first win against L.A. since 2007 in Los Angeles for Houston.

With Sunday night’s win at the Home Depot Center in L.A., the Dynamo created a four-way tie for first place in Major League Soccer’s Eastern Conference by beating the Galaxy, 1-0, Sunday night at the Home Depot Center. Houston now shares first place with the Red Bulls, Impact and Sporting KC after extending their undefeated streak to four games.

Houston’s Andrew Driver scored the only goal in the 56th minute. He also made his first start on the left wing for Brad Davis, who was suspended for receiving a red card April 28 against Colorado.

Also, Houston goalie Tally Hall stopped Landon Donovan’s penalty kick in the 25th minute also helping Houston move into a four-way tie atop the Eastern Conference.

Houston will face D.C. United on Wednesday, while Los Angeles will travel to Vancouver to face the Whitecaps on Saturday.
