The iconic band U2 is reportedly moving closer to releasing new music. Reports indicate that band members are set to release new music soon and band has reportedly completed mixing of the songs on the yet-to-be titled project which is slated to be in fan’s hands come the fall.

RollingStone.com reports that the members which include: Bono, the Edge, Adam Clayton and Larry Mullen Jr., were at the Electric Lady Studios last week: “U2 has been working steadily on this album since before wrapping their 2009-2011 world tour,” stated RollingStone.com. “They originally planned on releasing a second series of songs from the No Line on the Horizon sessions titled Songs of Ascent, but it appears they’ve scrapped that idea in favor of fresh material. They worked briefly with Lady Gaga producer RedOne, but soon settled on Danger Mouse.”

The band is known for such iconic hits as “Beautiful Day”, ‘With Or Without You”, “One” and “Vertigo” (just to name a few) and formed in in 1976.
