Brad Pitt is not only excited about his new movie, but he is also excited about all of the hoopla surrounding his new movie!
Pitt’s new movie, World War Z not only comes out in theaters this Friday but served as the backdrop to the “World Z War Premiere” Monday in New York City premiere in Times Square.
According to Entertainment Tonight‘s website, Pitt said that when it comes to his new movie and the celebrations surrounding his new movie, it’s no holds barred: “We’re going big — we’re going big on this, we’re not messing around,” Pitt says about taking over Times Square. “It’s not your usual affair is it? It’s pretty damn cool, I gotta say. Pretty damn cool,” Pitt said as reported by Entertainment Tonight.
World War Z which is a 2006 apocalyptic horror novel by Max Brooks, is what the movie is based upon.
It is also a follow-up to Brooks’ 2003 book, “The Zombie Survival Guide”.
The film, directed by Marc Forster and written by Matthew Michael Carnahan, stars Brad Pitt as Gerry Lane, a U.N. worker who must travel the world to find a way to stop the zombie pandemic that threatens to eradicate human kind.
World War Z premiered in London on June 2, 2013 and was also chosen to open the 35th Moscow International Film Festival.
