Gavin DeGraw surprised a bunch of passengers on a Southwest flight at 35,000 feet ther other day, (and no it wasn’t by joining the mile high club) but by performing earlier this week on a flight from Phoenix to Los Angeles as part of their “Live at 35″ concert series. “Live at 35″ is pretty self explanatory, artists basically surprise passengers at 35,000 feet in the air. Gavin sang from the front of the plane, using that flight attendant mic, and also took time to sign autographs for everyone down the aisles. A spokesperson for Southwest said,“He was such a pleasure to work with and has set the bar high for future “Live at 35″ performances.” He did “Not Over You” and “Best I Ever Had”.

Ben Affleck will replace Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne in the upcoming untitled Batman-Superman movie for Warner Brothers. Affleck becomes the eighth actor to play the Caped Crusader, following Bale, George Clooney and Michael Keaton. “We knew we needed an extraordinary actor to take on one of DC Comics’ most enduringly popular Super Heroes, and Ben Affleck certainly fits that bill, and then some,” WB president Greg Silverman said in a statement. Directed by “Man of Steel” filmmaker Zack Snyder, the Batman-Superman movie will hit theaters on July 17, 2015, with Henry Cavill, Amy Adams and Diane Lane reprising their roles.

There is no host this year for the MTV VMA’s, and they are all set to air this Sunday from Brooklyn:  Lady Gaga will be opening the show with “Applause,” the first single from her new album “ARTPOP”.

Justin Timberlake will be accepting the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, and of course a special performance is in the works…which we are all hoping includes the rest of *NSYNC .

Also set to perform: Kanye West, Katy Perry, Bruno Mars (premiering his new single), Macklemore, Miley Cyrus and Robin Thicke.

Justin Timberlake and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis each have six nominations, while Bruno Mars and Robin Thicke and Miley Cyrus each have four.

Other nominated artists to watch for: One Direction, Daft Punk, Robin Thicke, Ellie Goulding, Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift and more. The show starts at 8p Sunday on MTV.

Harry Styles told  Us Weekly that he fully expects Taylor Swift to use their past relationship as inspiration. “It would be hypocritical for me to say she couldn’t do it because everybody writes songs based on personal experience. I can’t say I’d have dated someone less famous to avoid it.” The pair split in early January after a few months of dating. He added, “at least she’s a great songwriter!”

A 49-year-old man from Rhode Island, John M. Dubis, was squatting in the pool house of Jennifer Lopez’s Hamptons estate.  And he lived there for a full WEEK before he was caught.

The guy was actually walking around the estate in full view of the neighbors and even posting pictures of himself all over the grounds on FACEBOOK.  And the whole time, J-Lo’s SECURITY was on duty. Hellloooo! HOW did they miss that??
