Barry White To Receive Star On Hollywood Walk Of Fame

Iconic crooner Barry White is set to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame this week.

White died back in 2003 and was known for his baritone voice as well as music that was soft, sultry and melodic.

He was born in Galveston, Texas and named Barry Eugene Carter.

White, who was also a composer, singer-songwriter and a two-time GRAMMY Award-winner became known for such hits as “You’re the First, the Last, My Everything” and “Can’t Get Enough of Your Love, Babe.” White alongside Isaac Hayes, is considered by Allmusic.com a pioneer of disco music in the early 1970s.

White is set to receive the star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame Thursday, September 12th. Click here to learn more.
