Legendary Smooth Jazz saxophonist Najee is set to release his latest album entitled “The Morning After – A Musical Love Journey” on the Shanachie Records label later this year.
Producers Demonte Posey and Brian Bromberg are helping the gold and platinum record musician with his latest musical endeavor that features guest singer Meli’sa Morgan on the track “In The Mood To Take It Slow.”
The first single from the project will reportedly be “Champs Élysées” written by Demonte Posey and Najee. Also, Najee dedicates the song “Shinjuku” to his mentor, George Duke who passed back in early August.
According to Najee’s website, Najee is… “… an alum of the New England Conservatory of Music.” He has with musical visioniaries such as Prince, Quincy Jones, Stevie Wonder, Chaka Khan and Herbie Hancock. “He has also had the distinction to perform for Presidents Bill Clinton and Nelson Mandela and made appearances on The Tonight Show and Good Morning America,” adds the website.
“The Morning After – A Musical Love Journey” is set to tentatively be released in late October, just in time for a fall day perfect for smooth tunes from this music visionary.
