Dynamo Fans Urged To Celebrate ‘The Many Faces Of Houston’!

Houston’s Mayor Annise Parker will be issuing a call on Sunday (October 20, 2013) to all Houston Dynamo fans!

According to City of Houston officials, Mayor Parker “…will greet Dynamo fans during half-time and unveil Citizenship Month public service message.”

“Houston Mayor Annise Parker’s appearance during half-time at the Houston Dynamo vs. New York Red Bulls game at BBVA Compass Stadium will pair her alongside First Lady Kathy Hubbard and members of the City’s Citizenship Month Committee.

During the game, Parker is scheduled to present a recorded public service message inviting all Houston residents to celebrate Citizenship Month in November.

“The month will feature a series of events highlighting ‘the many faces of Houston’ sponsored by numerous community partners representative of the city’s diversity,” added city officials. “The month’s activities are designed to promote good citizenship through civic engagement, leadership and volunteer community service.”
