This Thursday, turkey will be the centerpiece of many of our Thanksgiving feasts. It will be carved, eaten joyously with mashed potatoes, green beans, cranberry sauce, macaroni and cheese as well as other dishes (perhaps all at the same time!)
So when Friday afternoon comes upon us, there will still be that glorious turkey… in our refrigerators, begging again to be the centerpiece of our meals. How can that glorious turkey be transformed into delectable dishes? Check out a few ideas I have tried, eaten and enjoyed!
1. Turkey Enchiladas & Turkey Tacos I usually chop my turkey into cubes and place on a tortilla with lettuce, melted cheese and diced tomatoes! Pop a few of these in your mouth and you will be satisfied! Click here for the full recipe!
2. Turkey Tetrazzini is one of my favorite dishes to make. Although many recipes call for mushrooms, I am not a mushroom fan, but perhaps you are. Nevertheless, for this dish to be great, consider adding egg noodles,Parmesan and Swiss cheeses, cream and bread crumbs. This is delicious with a salad or a glass of fruity wine! 3. Turkey Casserole has got to me one of my favorite leftover turkey dishes! With this dish, one combines some of my favorite ingredients to make it. Stuffing and gravy are delicious on cardboard… so you know they will be delicious within a casserole! I always eat my casserole with a side of cranberry sauce… one word to use… #heaven! 4. I don’t like to brag, but my Turkey Noodle Soup is to die for. I take cubed turkey, add vegetable stock, vegetables and just a pinch of powdered gravy and you have the best Turkey Noodle Soup coming from “Cicely’s Kitchen.” Click here to learn how to make this hearty creation!
I guess that about sums up my top four leftover turkey creations. Do you have any to share? I am willing to try them this week! Share as you enjoy related video below!
