Let’s set the stage:
It’s the BIGGEST GAME of the year. The two BEST football teams of the season. MILLIONS of people watching. The BEST commercials of the year costing upwards of $8 million dollars each. And then of course there’s also the highly anticipated halftime show, which ROCKED thanks to Bruno Mars this year!
So how much would you GUESS that halftime performers make for this special occasion? Guesses anyone?
You heard me right…ZIP. ZERO. NADA. Bruno Mars didn’t get paid one single dime to play for 15 minutes at the halftime show, and he’s totally cool with that!
Why you ask? Because during those 15 minutes, Bruno “reached an audience upwards of 100 million, and gained exposure to people entirely outside of his demographic.” (according to TIME)
Would you still play the halftime show even if you weren’t getting paid for it??
