During the Washington Redskins/Cleveland Browns game last night on ESPN, Johnny Manziel flipped the bird to the Redskins’ bench during the third quarter.
Manziel apologized for the middle-finger incident during the post-game news conference calling the moment a “lapse of judgment” and suggested it was brought on by the other team’s players and fans.
“I get words exchanged throughout the entirety of the game, every game, week after week, and I should’ve been smarter,” Manziel said. “It was a ‘Monday Night Football’ game, and cameras were probably solid on me, and I just need to be smarter about that.”
“It’s there, and it’s present every game, and I just need to let it slide off my back and go to the next play.”
I mean he didn’t get the name Johnny “F-in” Football for nothing, right? 😉
