Flight attendants don’t like the FAA’s decision to let passengers use phones, tablets, and other small electronics to be used during takeoff and landing. The Association of Flight Attendants-CWA — is suing the FAA in hopes of having its new rules overturned. They argue that small electronics can become projectiles during turbulence and they cause passengers to pay less attention during safety announcements.
Who in the hell listens to that anyway? I can recite that like the pledge of allegiance.
Ultimately, the rule change still leaves the choice up to airlines. Enough major airlines have lifted the ban that about 96 percent of commercial passengers should now be able to use electronics during takeoff and landing. Don’t try and take away our crack. We need those smart phones. We’re addicted and we will cut you.
Do you think it’s a big deal?
