Celebrate Veteran’s Day with a Houston parade.the city of Houston will host it’s annual ‘HOUSTON SALUTES AMERICAN HEROES’ Veterans Celebration. Festivities begin Tuesday, November 11 at 9 am in Hermann Square.

There are a lot of lighting events here in Houston but it’s the Houston Zoo’s ‘Zoo Lights’ that takes the cake as a great tradition to do with the whole family. The life size snow globe is one of my favorites but it’s their new completely lit-up African Forest that is getting the major pub!

Lastly, a great family tradition that has lasted 65 years is the annual Thanksgiving Day Parade. The 65th annual parade begins at 9am on Thanksgiving Day in downtown Houston. Bring chairs, blankets and hot cocoa for a great family experience!
