Last night (Jan. 7) the people shared their opinion on their favorite in movies, television and music at the 41st Annual People’s Choice Awards.
The show, which was hosted by Mom stars Anna Faris and Alison Janney and aired on CBS, honored the people’s favorite artists including Ed Sheeran who took home the award for Favorite Male Artist and Favorite Album for X.
His best bud Taylor Swift also took home a few awards, winning Favorite Female Artist, Favorite Pop Artists and Favorite Song for “Shake It Off.”
The win even had Iggy, who performed “Beg For It” during the show and sat through a joke that had presenters calling her “Igloo Australia”—you know the name Azealia Banks prefers to call the Aussie—surprised.
“This is an amazing way to start the year,” she told the crowd. “I didn’t expect this, so I wrote nothing. It’s not wasted on me.”
She later posted a photo of herself in the audience, letting her fans know, “I’m a winner every day because of you.” Take that haters.
Hunter and Lady A seemed to be having a lot of fun, posting a photobomb pic from the audience.
Carrie Underwood won Favorite Female Country Star and even though the expectant mom wasn’t at the awards, she sent a short, but sweet pre-taped message that thanked her fans for all of the love and support she’s been given over the course of her ten year career, adding that she was “beyond honored.”
She later tweeted another message to fans that simply stated: “I truly have the best fans EVER!”
