31 Most Anticipated Movies Of 2015

It’s the beginning of a new cinematic year and some anxiously awaited films will finally be in the theaters near you. So much so,The Hollywood Reporter has a whopping 31 movies that will be packing you into seats. See the FULL LIST HERE and below, are the ones I may actually drop a dozen or so dollars to see on the big screen.

Chick Flick Picks for 2015:

‘Fifty Shades of Grey’
Will have ticket takers all tied up starting Feb. 13
Just in time for Valentine’s Day! Sam Taylor-Johnson’s hotly anticipated adaptation of E.L. James’ erotic drama, about a relationship between a college student and a businessman, hits the big screen with Jamie Dornan, Dakota Johnson, Eloise Mumford, Rita Ora, Marcia Gay Harden and Andrew Airlie.

‘Magic Mike XXL’
Heats up the theaters July 1
The second installment of the Channing Tatum-led stripper drama reunites Matt Bomer, Joe Manganiello and Adam Rodriguez, and adds Amber Heard, Elizabeth Banks, Jada Pinkett Smith, Andie MacDowell, Donald Glover, Gabriel Iglesias and Michael Strahan. Steven Soderbergh, who directed the film, shot the film while his oft-collaborator Gregory Jacobs steps up as director.

Kid-Flick Picks for 2015:

‘Cinderella’
The Springtime enchantment begins March 13
Kenneth Branagh (Thor) directs Disney’s live-action retelling of the classic story, starring Cate Blanchett as the wicked stepmother and Downton Abbey’s Lily James as Ella, as well as Richard Madden, Hayley Atwell and Helena Bonham Carter.

‘Inside Out’
This movie get into theaters June 19
The Pixar film zooms in on the mind of preteen Riley as she deals with her family’s move from small-town Minnesota to San Francisco. Her emotions are voiced by Amy Poehler, Bill Hader, Lewis Black, Mindy Kaling and Phyllis Smith. *I saw the extended trailers, and it’s TOO funny!!*

‘Pan’
Re-visit Neverland starting July 24
Hugh Jackman plays Blackbeard opposite Garrett Hedlund as a young Hook — who still has two hands — and Levi Miller as Peter Pan. Amanda Seyfried, Cara Delevigne and Rooney Mara are also featured in the Joe Wright adaptation.

‘Jurassic World’
Get down with the Dino’s on June 12
Colin Trevorrow’s action-adventure revival of the Michael Crichton franchise — memorably brought to the screen by Steven Spielberg in 1993’s Jurassic Park — stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Judy Greer and Vincent D’Onofrio.

‘The Jungle Book’
Baloo and Mowgli reunite Oct. 9
Jon Favreau directs Disney’s 3D live-action/animation combo about the young boy (Neel Sethi) who is raised by jungle animals. The voice cast includes Christopher Walken, Ben Kingsley, Scarlett Johansson, Lupita Nyong’o, and Bill Murray.

Date Movie Picks for 2015:

‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’
Sparks again fly between the Forces on Dec. 18
J. J. Abrams directs the seventh episode of George Lucas’ beloved franchise, reuniting Carrie Fisher, Harrison Ford and Mark Hamill and adding Adam Driver, Domhnall Gleeson, Andy Serkis, Gwendoline Christie, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Daisy Ridley and Lupita Nyong’o.

‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’
More chances to drool over RDJ starts May 1
Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Jeremy Renner, Samuel L. Jackson and Cobie Smulders are back with Idris Elba, Tom Hiddleston, Elizabeth Olsen and Aaron Taylor-Johnson in Joss Whedon’s sequel to square off against James Spader.

‘Entourage’
We can see if it does the show justice on June 5
The big-screen offering of HBO’s hit showbiz series reunites Adrian Grenier, Kevin Connolly, Jeremy Piven, Jerry Ferrara and Kevin Dillon, and adds Billy Bob Thornton, Liam Neeson and, surprisingly, Piers Morgan, playing himself. It’s directed by the show’s creator, Doug Ellin, who co-wrote the screenplay with Rob Weiss.

‘Trainwreck’
This mid-summer warm n’ fuzzy starts July 17
Written by and starring Amy Schumer, the Judd Apatow-directed film stars Daniel Radcliffe, Marisa Tomei, Barkhad Abdi, Brie Larson, Colin Quinn, Vanessa Bayer, Tilda Swinton, Mike Birbiglia, wrestler-turned-actor John Cena and rapper Method Man.

‘The Man From U.N.C.L.E.’
If it has ‘evildoers’ in the description; I’m going starting Aug. 14
Based on the 1960s television series, Guy Ritchie’s spy adaptation stars Henry Cavill and Armie Hammer as special agents working to track down evildoers. It also stars Jared Harris and Alicia Vikander.

‘Joy’
J. Law and B. Coop are our cinematic Christmas present on Dec. 25
David O. Russell reunites with Jennifer Lawrence, Bradley Cooper and Robert De Niro for the film about Miracle Mop inventor Joy Mangano, who is fixture on the Home Shopping Network with her many inventions, though the mop was her ticket to fame and fortune. She began her inventing as a teen and kept on dreaming and tinkering while still a single mom raising three kids.

My Most Anticipated Movie Pick of 2015:

‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2’
I’ll be anticipating this one for 10 more months because it doesn’t come out until Nov. 20
Jennifer Lawrence returns to finish off the post-apocalyptic action franchise, based on Suzanne Collins’ novels, alongside Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Donald Sutherland, Julianne Moore and Gwendoline Christie.
