Phil Collins Is Now An Official Honorary Texan

As of Today, the state of Texas recognizes Pop singer, Phil Collins as an honorary Texan. The decision was made after Collins made a donation of the “world’s largest private collection of Alamo and Texas Revolution artifacts” to the Alamo.

Collins as you may know was born in London, England. He became an official Texan at the Capitol on Wednesday by resolutions passed in the House and Senate. According to the Resolutions, Collins has been a huge fan of Alamo history since he first saw the classic Walt Disney television series Davy Crockett, King of the Wild Frontier.

He began collecting artifacts in 1994 when his wife gave him an Alamo related item.
