This is so cool! It will make you appreciate the relationship with your dad or make you wish you had one like it. I know I do. Don’t get me started because Shawnda is rolling her eyes right now because I just said, “My dad never showed me he loved me.” 😦

13-year-old Stephanie here in Houston, has an astronaut dad on the International Space Station. And Hyundai helped her send a message that her dad could see from space! They had stunt drivers in 11 Hyundai Genesis sedans make a giant message in a dry lake bed in Nevada called Delamar Dry Lake. They covered almost 60 million square feet to do it and IT WORKED! The message is visible from space and Stephanie’s dad saw it.

Astronaut Terry Virts (pictured above), is the commander of Expedition 43 and has a teenage daughter named Stephanie. We don’t know if it’s definitely him in this story but it could be. Terry also made news recently when he sent this pic paying tribute to Leonard Nimoy who passed away a short time ago.
