‘Fifty Shades’ Sequels Are Coming in 2017, 2018

Fifty Shades of Grey fans rejoice: the trilogy’s second and third installments have been given theater premiere dates.

On Thursday (April 23) at CinemaCon in Las Vegas, Universal announced that Fifty Shades Darker will hit theater screens on Feb. 10, 2017, Deadline reports.

The next big bombshell of excitement came when they announced that the third film, Fifty Shades Freed, will follow suit less than a year later on Feb. 8, 2018.

No announcement was made as to director or the resolution of actors Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan’s negotiations for more money in the sequels, but smart minds would deduce that the studio plans get all those ducks in a row and shoot the next two movie back-to-back in order to get them out quickly, rather than face the two-year delay they now have between the first and second films.
