[VIDEO] Foo Fighters Perform ‘Everlong’ on Letterman’s Last Show

It was an incredible way to end and incredible legacy of late night television.

Last night, after 33 years, David Letterman said goodbye to an audience of millions and brought one of the most remarkable broadcasting careers to date to a close.

There was no better way to send off the king of late night comedy than with his favorite band, playing his favorite song, as an amazing montage of memories flashed on the screen.

I cried, and admit it, you teared up a little to… 😥

To quote the Foo Fighters and ‘Everlong’;

And I wonder
If everything could ever feel this real forever
If anything could ever be this good again

Hardly Foo, hardly.

So long Dave, I’m sure we’ll be seeing you around.
