‘Game of Thrones’: The Musical? Coldplay Make It a Reality For a Good Cause

By Shannon Carlin

Coldplay already told us they have one more album left in them, but perhaps that’s because they’ve found their real passion: writing the official Game of Thrones musical.

It was all supposed to be a secret but last night (May 21) in honor of Red Nose Day, a day dedicated to raising money for children living poverty both her in the U.S. and other parts of the world, the band gave us a taste at the secret musical.

The 12-minute clip, narrated by Liam Neeson, gives us a taste of the 16 songs they’ve come up with for the show, which includes a rather catchy song about incest, a jaunty tune about the Red Wedding and the Khaleesi singing reggae.

Though, Emilia Clarke, the actress who plays Daenerys, doesn’t seem to think this musical is a good idea, comparing it to the Titanic—not the successful movie, but the unsuccessful boat.”
