Homer and Marge Simpson Legally Separate, Lena Dunham Is the Other Woman

After 27 seasons of The Simpsons, Homer and Marge will finally head to splitsville and end their marriage—but not for obvious reasons.

“In the premiere, it’s discovered after all the years Homer has narcolepsy and it’s an incredible strain on the marriage,” Simpsons’ executive producer Al Jean told Variety of the upcoming season.

According to Jean, “Homer and Marge legally separate, and Homer falls in love with his pharmacist, who’s voiced by Lena Dunham.”

Jean also revealed that an an upcoming episode will have Lisa befriending a homeless woman “who turns out to be an incredible singer,” with vocals sung by Natalie Maines of the Dixie Chicks.
