Avril Lavigne Performs For The First Time In Year, Debuts New Single ‘Fly’ At Special Olympics

Avril Lavigne performed for the first time in nearly a year at the Special Olympics World Games’ opening ceremony in Los Angeles.

It was the first time she stepped on stage since revealing to her fans she had suffered from Lyme disease.

According to ET online, she debuted her new single, “Fly,” and took the opportunity to thank everyone for being supportive.

“It has been a difficult year fighting through Lyme Disease for me and I am so happy to have made it on stage tonight for the first performance in a year,” Lavigne said. “Thank you for having me.”
