It’s one of my favorite times in Houston, getting to eat at all of the restaurants that are usually WAAAAAAAY out of my budget.

*Help me, I’m poor*

What was that? I can eat lunch at Del Frisco’s Double Eagle for a clean $20 bucks?? Or a three course dinner at Tony’s for only $4-freaking-5 dollars?! And a $25 brunch at Corner-OMG-This-Is-The-Best-Table?!!

What the heezy my geezy!

And the menu selections from these restaurants are amaze-balls too, no shortcutting it going on anywhere.

*I’m going to have to saran-wrap this keyboard…droooool*

If you aren’t familiar with what I’m losing my mind about right now…bless your heart…

Houston Restaurant Weeks is the brainchild of Houston’s Restaurant authority, Cleverly Stone.

It is a month-long fundraising initiative benefiting the Houston Food Bank, which provides meals to tens of thousands of families across the Houston area.

The concept is quite simple, over 200 of Houston’s premiere dining establishments offer a 2 to 4 course pre-fixe menu for Brunch, Lunch and Dinner (in some cases, all three) at one INCREDIBLY low price.

I dare you to go look at this massive list of awesomeness and not have your tummy ache with want.

*Double, triple dog dare you*

Go ahead and bookmark the website to your browser bar, because you’ll be using it a lot.

It’s certainly exciting news this year, that the there is and extra week added this year and the list features 11 new restaurant additions with more being added up until the event’s kick-off on August 1st.

Word to the wise…Think and plan ahead. Make reservations even. Because people turn out in droves to take advantage of these amazing deals.

Which is amazing for the Houston Food Bank, as HRW set a $1.6 million donation record last year.

*Cheers to breaking that record again!*
