It looks like Cecil the Lion will now be forever heralded as a principled symbol for anti-poaching efforts by being memorialized in the park that embraced his existence for over a dozen years.
According to TMZ, the removed head and skin of the beloved big cat have been confiscated by the Zimbabwe Conservation Task Force and along with the rest of his remains, will be made into a memorial against illegal hunting.
The heinous slaying of Hwange National Park’s cherished lion king, Cecil, has stirred many emotions in the hearts and minds of individuals across the world.
In addition to sparking an open dialogue about the necessity and purpose of big game hunting, Cecil’s death is inspiring heightened awareness on poaching as it has been revealed that the Minnesota dentist may very well be prosecuted for illegally hunting and killing the protected animal.
Jimmy Kimmel gave an impassioned monologue on his show Tuesday night, condemning the hunter and pleading for this tragic act to be turned into a positive end result by channeling energies into support for wildlife conservation organizations like Oxford University’s Wildlife Conservation Research Unit.

I read this quote recently, and feel it’s quite fitting for this situation;
“Things turn out best for the people who make the best of the way things turn out.”
