The local chapter of the Delta Sigma Theta sorority was very proud to host the 52nd Annual National Convention this week in Houston, and it seems the sisters stick together…because they’re all travelling through Hobby airport!
ABC13/KTRK is reporting that INSANE long lines at the southside airport are throwing a stick into the proverbial spoke of others usually smooth ride through the TSA check-point.
The news-station is claiming an extra hour and a half wait time to get through the back-up, and that lines are building up out the door and on to the sidewalk.
A spokesperson for Southwest tells KTRK;
“Our people at the Houston Hobby airport are working with Southwest customers whose immediate travel plans are being impacted by long lines at the TSA checkpoint. We’re asking anyone who might be traveling later today to build in extra time for airport check-in. Flexible re-accommodation options are also available on southwest.com for those customers who would like to proactively change their travel plans.”
So, if you have travel plans taking you out of Hobby this afternoon/evening…LEAVE EARLY!
