Malaysian Gov’t Confirms MH370 Wreckage

Wreckage found last week on the island of La Reunion in the Indian Ocean is a part of the Malaysian Airlines jet that went missing 515 days ago on March 8, 2014.

Malaysian Prime Najib Razak released a statement on Facebook saying:

“It is with a heavy heart that I must tell you that an international team of experts have conclusively confirmed that the aircraft debris found on Reunion Island is indeed from MH370.”

He thanked the twenty-six countries and count-less experts for their assistance is the exhaustive search for the Boeing 777┬ájet and it’s 239 passengers.

As well, he expressed heartfelt sentiments to the families of the missing;

“The burden and uncertainty faced by the families during this time has been unspeakable. It is my hope that this confirmation, however tragic and painful, will at least bring certainty to the families and loved ones of the 239 people onboard MH370. They have our deepest sympathy and prayers.”

He ended with the promise to always honor and remember those who perished in the crash.
