Houston ‘Be Someone’ Sign Painted Over

The famous “Be Someone” painted over I-45 south that motivates and inspires several Houstonians a day has been painted over and now reads, “Be One.”

Some feel the new sign motivates Houston to change and unite as one. Others are devastated.

There is no word yet on who or why the sign was painted over, but it has definitely sparked conversation.

I’m not sure how I feel about the change just yet. At first I was also sad to see it changed, but at the same time change always has the potential to have a great impact. And maybe Houston has had enough time to get the original message to “be someone” and now it’s time we progress and unite. It’s a symbol of changing times and new beginnings. Change is always uncomfortable, but in the end for the better.

Maybe there really isn’t a deeper meaning to this at all and someone just wanted to be a troll and now we are all over thinking it. Who knows! But what do you think?
