Ever wondered what it’s like to eat like JJ Watt for a day? You guys aren’t going to believe what he has to eat to stay in tip top shape, check this out!
According to an article from ESPN, JJ and Houston Texans defensive trainer Brad Arnett noticed something was wrong during a workout back in February. “My body was grabbing for something that wasn’t there,” Watt said. “It was trying to fuel itself with no fuel.”
Soooo what was this “missing fuel” that he spoke of?
Are you kidding me? Your diet needs MORE fat? How about you just come and take some of mine…lol
The ESPN article goes on to say that if JJ ate 8 chicken breasts in one meal, Arnett suggested he WRAP 3 OF THEM IN BACON, daily! That also means adding mashed sweet potatoes, more pasta, fish, olive oil and coconut oil in his cooking and avocados. “I started crushing avocados,” Watt said.
So now depending on how hard JJ goes in practice, his daily diet consists of about 9,000 calories per day.
We should all have such trouble eating more fat per day 😉
