Mumford & Sons Perform Blink-182’s ‘What’s My Age Again’ with Mark Hoppus and Tom Morello

by Cody Black

Mumford & Sons played a private performance last night (August 19) for just a few hundred KROQ listeners at the Troubadour in Los Angeles.

Fans were treated to a 14-song set, including a surprise appearance by Rage Against The Machine‘s Tom Morello for a cover of “Ghost Of Tom Joad.” After the Springsteen classic, Morello stuck around to lend a hand on Mumfords’ tracks “Awake My Soul” and “Dust Bowl Dance.” Marcus Mumford talked about how Rage Against The Machine was a huge influence during his youth, and that this was “the best Mumford & Sons gig ever.”

After a brief pause, the band returned to the postage stamp-sized stage to perform “The Wolf,” then had Morello return to the stage alongside Mark Hoppus and T Bone Burnett for an all-star finale of Blink-182‘s “What’s my Age Again?” Watch a short clip below.

The set also included new tracks like “Snake Eyes” and “Wilder Mind,” as well as hits like “I Will Wait,” “The Cave,” and “Little Lion Man.”
