Lauren’s Lowdown: NFL Already Picks Super Bowl Half Time Show? Stephen Colbert Hosts 1st ‘Late Show’

Word has it that the NFL wants Bruno Mars to do the Super Bowl halftime show again next February. He headlined the halftime show back in 2014, and had the Red Hot Chili Peppers as his guests.

Supposedly, he might even have more guests this time around, since he’s reportedly been asked to, quote, “curate” the entire show, which implies there’d be multiple performers. There’s no official word from Bruno or the NFL.

If this happens, he wouldn’t be the only person to do it more than once. Gloria Estefan did THREE in the ’90s, and Justin Timberlake and Nelly have both appeared twice.

The Instagram follow-battle continues!

This week, it looks like Taylor Swift has surpassed Kim Kardashian as the most followed person on Instagram with over 45.5 million followers, Just last month, Taylor was ranked the third most followed, behind Kim Kardashian and Beyonce. It’s probably because of awesome posts like this:

Sofia Vergara from “Modern Family” and Kaley Cuoco from “The Big Bang Theory” top the annual “Forbes” list of the Highest-Paid TV Actresses. They both made an estimated $28.5 million over the past year.

If you remember, the male actors from “Modern Family” and “The Big Bang Theory” topped the guys’ list last month. Here are highest paid actresses:

1. A tie at $28.5 million between: Sofia Vergara from “Modern Family” and Kaley Cuoco from “The Big Bang Theory“.

3. Julie Bowen from “Modern Family“, $12 million

4. Ellen Pompeo from “Grey’s Anatomy“, $11.5 million

5. Mariska Hargitay from “Law & Order: SVU“, $11 million

Stephen Colbert’s first “Late Show” debuted last night, and it even included a fake action movie starring George Clooney!

There were also appearances from Jimmy Fallon, and a surprise cameo from Jon Stewart.

The show started with a montage of Colbert in various locations, with random people, singing the National Anthem. The clip ends in a baseball field, where it started. The umpire takes off his mask, and it was Jon Stewart yelling, “Play ball!
