How To Feel Like It’s Fall in Texas

Wednesday is the first official day of fall. Finally, the Summer is OVER! HA! While it might be the first day of fall according to the U.S. Naval Observatory, summer temperatures continue in Texas.

Until it actually feels like fall, we are just going to have to make it happen for ourselves. Especially if you’re one of those ladies walking around in your leggings, boots, sweater, scarf combo already (this is a whole other topic of conversation btw, but to summarize, I literally do not understand why you do this.) It’s still SO HOT!

Begin with cranking up (or down?) the AC. You have to make the temperature in your home a comfortable 60-70 degrees. Or at least cold enough to require a sweater.

Hit up Bath & Body works and buy fall scented candles.

Visit the closest Starbucks and grab yourself a Pumpkin Spice Latte.

Because it’s cold in your house, you’ll want to make yourself some delicious fall inspired soup. This is real people we have the right to feel like it is fall too

Bonus points if you use a bread bowl!

Snuggle up on your couch with a perfect fall staple movie. I chose Hocus Pocus because it’s not fall until Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy come back to life and ride around on vacums and brooms on Halloween.

There you have it. The perfect formula for the first day of Fall. A night in with your smell good pumpkin candles, latte, soup and movies. If I left anything out, comment below with your suggestions.
