Ryan Adams, Kevin Hart Among New ‘Daily Show’s First Guests

By Brian Ives

The new incarnation of The Daily Show has announced its guests for it’s first week, and the first musical performance on the show will be by Ryan Adams, who will be promoting his latest project, his song-for-song cover album of Taylor Swift‘s 1989.

The show kicks off on September 28 on Comedy Central, but Adams’ performance will take place on October 1. The first guest on the show will be comedian Kevin Hart, who will be on the September 28 episode.

September 29 will feature Bumble CEO Whitney Wolfe, while New Jersey Governor and Republican Presidential candidate Chris Christie will appear on September 30 and Adams will round out the week on October 1.

And, as it turns out, October 1 is a day off on Swift’s 1989  tour, although she plays Toronto the next night. So, let the speculation begin that she’ll be a surprise guest and duet with Adams on one of her own songs.
