For Cosmopolitan‘s 50th birthday, they featured the Kardashian-Jenner women on the cover all dressed in white. A cover and 15-page feature is fine with me, but I agree with everyone going on Twitter rants saying they crossed the line when they captioned the picture, “America’s First Family.”
Correct me if I’m wrong, but don’t we already have a first family? I admit, I have written about this family and we’re all guilty of taking some style cues from their looks, but this is too far. And while it’s only 1 magazine calling them this and it’s just a caption, it’s still crazy to think someone over there thought this was a good idea! Why not actually feature America’s First Family?
Malia Obama is in the process of deciding which university she will be attending next Fall while, Kylie Jenner is admitting to lip injections. Michelle Obama has made strong efforts at encouraging American families to maintain a healthier lifestyle while, Kris Jenner is confronting Caitlyn Jenner over badmouthing their family on Television. Why not feature the real first family?
I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt and say maybe they tried, but the Obama’s weren’t available.
Here’s what you’re all saying about this because some of you are super upset!
