Sorry Houston, it looks like all the ‘Desperate Housewives‘ here weren’t enough to make Bravo TV want to shoot the next season of the show in town. But they did decide that DALLAS would be perfect!

Bravo made the announcement yesterday that they will be filming a ‘Real Housewives Potomac,’ (a suburb of Washington, D.C.) and also adding a Dallas edition which will debut sometime next year. The cast for “Dallas” has not been revealed yet though.

In a statement the network said, “[It] follows a group of sophisticated southern socialites, as they claw their way to the top of the city’s social scene. The series gives an exclusive look into their glamorous galas, scintillating scandals, and enormous egos, to prove exactly why everything is bigger in Texas.”

“‘The Real Housewives of Potomac’ is the show you never saw coming, and it’s going to take everyone by surprise,” said “Housewives” executive producer Andy Cohen. “As for ‘The Real Housewives of Dallas,’ it’s a natural extension of the franchise with a Southern twist that ‘ya’ll’ will enjoy.”
