Coldplay has just been announced as the Super Bowl halftime show airing on February 7th on CBS.
The band is expected to play music from previous albums as well as music from their newest album, Head Full of Dreams which is set to release on Friday.
A Head Full of Dreams is expected to be a much more upbeat album than their previous album Ghost Stories which is described as a much more intimate collection of songs.
I wouldn’t necessarily call Ghost Stories an “intimate” album as much as I would call it a series of songs about heartbreak that you can sing along and cry to while thinking about Chris Martin singing about Gwyneth Paltrow. 😦
I’d say a much more upbeat album is needed after all that heartbreak!
Watch Coldplay’s performance above. Crossing my fingers, those dancing gorillas will be at the Bowl too!
