Yesterday we reported some fighting words Jared Leto had for Taylor Swift’s 1989. The Thirty Seconds to Mars frontman appeared in a video leaked by TMZ disparaging audio of Swift’s triumphant blockbuster, nominated yesterday for seven GRAMMYs.
While Leto gave positive notes on Song and Record of the Year nominee “Blank Space,” he was less forgiving of the critically maligned “Welcome to New York.”
Last night, the Academy Award-winning actor took to Twitter to put the “Bad Blood” to rest.”
“The truth is I think @taylorswift13 is amazing + an incredible example of what’s possible,” he tweeted. “If I hurt her or her fans my sincerest apologies.”
Don’t expect a collaboration any time soon, but to make things right Swift could invite Leto to join him onstage at one of her 1989 Tour stops. Conflict resolution is one of the hitmaker’s strong suits: In September, the singer famously joined Nicki Minaj for the opening of the MTV Video Music Awards following their Twitter spat.
